The Supervisory Board of Balti Investeeringute Grupi Pank AS (BIGBANK) decided to increase the number of Management Board members to four and named Ingo Põder, who shall be responsible for the Credit Area, as the new member of the Management Board.
Põder (36) worked as an executive manager in AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp in 1997-2003 and in the intermediate years he worked on different positions in Nordea Pank, where he worked as a Head of Nordic and International Corporates Desk up to now.
Veiko Kandla, the member of the Management Board of BIGBANK, who was responsible of the Credit Area until now is focusing on developing the BIGBANK activity in the foreign markets, mainly in Scandinavia and Western Europe, according to the decision of the Supervisory Board.
Parvel Pruunsild, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BIGBANK, says the aim of the change is to find possibilities to extend the activities of the company via entering to new markets. "The economies of the Baltic countries are with a very small growth potential in the following years and we find that the presence of BIGBANK in those markets is enough in today's situation. We see the most important potential of the company outside the Baltic countries, foremost in Scandinavia and in Western Europe. At the same time we are glad that Ingo Põder, who has proved himself as a capable leader, found challenges again with us," said Pruunsild.
Balti Investeeringute Grupi Pank AS, under the trademark BIGBANK, is a credit establishment based on Estonian capital with branches in Latvia and Lithuania, and offers its products as a cross-border service in Finland.
BIGBANK's bonds are listed on the Tallinn and Stockholm Stock Exchanges.
