Starting from Tuesday 7th of April 2009 professor of economic department in University of Tartu Raul Eamets was named the sixth member of BIGBANK AS´s Supervisory Board.

Raul Eamets (44) has doctor´s degree in economic science and has worked in University of Tartu since year 1987. Eamets who is currently working as Head of Institute of Economics and as a Professor of Macroeconomics in University of Tartu is an author of many research papers and publications.

So far, BIGBANK´s Supervisory Board has consisted of five members, including Vahur Voll, Juhani Jaeger, Meelis Luht, Linda Terras and Parvel Pruunsild as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

BIGBANK AS is a specialised credit institution based on Estonian capital, which has branches in Latvia and Lithuania and provides its services on cross-border basis also in Finland. BIGBANK´s loan portfolio amounted to 2,3 billion kroons and profit amounted to 144,8 million kroons as of the end of year 2008.
BIGBANK´s bonds are listed in Stockholm Stock Exchange
