In the first nine months of the year 2003, AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp (BIG) has earned profit exceeding 13 million kroons, 4 million of which came from the special sale of shareholding in AS Hiiu Turvas. The 9.6 million of net profit from the company's principal activity is, according to Targo Raus, Chairman of the Management Board of BIG, is almost 59% more than the figure for the same period last year.
The total sum of loans issued by BIG during these 9 months was 82.9 million kroons, exceeding the corresponding figure for 2002 by 22.9%.
The bond portfolio has increased by 14.9% in the same period, reaching 67.2 million kroons.
The net loan portfolio has grown by 31.53% this year, reaching 128.6 million kroons.
The assets of the company have increased by 27.2% in comparison to the same 9-month period in 2002, totalling 156.6 million kroons. The loan portfolio share in overall assets has risen by 3.4%, constituting 79.4% last September and 82.1% this September.
