BIG to open new branch in Ülemiste Centre

Tomorrow, April 1, BIG will open a new branch in the Ülemiste Centre in Tallinn. The opening of this new branch office is part of the enterprise’s strategic plan to expand its sales network and make its services better available to clients. This year BIG also plans to open a branch in Narva.

The approximately 40 m2 branch office to be opened on the first storey of the Ülemiste Centre is the second larger expansion action of this year. A branch at the Lasnamäe Centrum in Tallinn was opened in January and another new branch will be opened in Narva in May. “This expansion into shopping centres is a logical step as a considerable part of our target clients visits them regularly,” said Targo Raus, Chairman of the Board of Balti Investeeringute Grupp. According to Raus, the percentage of consumer and other smaller loans has been increasing steadily and there is substantial interest and demand for information about loan options.

“It is important to be closer to the client and allow them to arrange matters quickly and in a friendly environment,” said Raus, adding that the enterprise has set the goal of satisfying each client’s loan application within 24 hours.

The advantages of BIG include not only quick transactions, but also the possibility of a loan with property used as security in the Republic of Estonia (including clients with an alien’s passport or a foreign state passport). Another point of interest is that BIG generally does not restrict the use of loan sums to merely real estate and vehicle purchases – with the aforementioned security the client is free to solve other financial priorities.

AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp is the largest specialised lender of money to private persons in the Baltic States after banks and leasing companies. Its goal is to provide both private and business clients with fast, attentive and flexible financial services.

Based on unaudited information, in 2003 BIG earned in Estonia 18.2 million kroons in profit, which is about 68% more than in 2002.

During 2003, BIG issued a total of 131.9 million kroons in loans, which is 36% more than in 2002. The bond portfolio grew by about 15% last year, reaching 69.3 million kroons. The loan portfolio growth was 41%, reaching 151.4 million kroons.
