On July 16 th, Balti Investeeringute Grupp (BIG) opened its representation in Narva. BIG forecasts that during the next few years, the Ida-Virumaa region will represent up to 10% of the enterprise's turnover. The greatest level of activity will, according to the enterprise, take place in the segment of loans against surety.

The opening of a branch office in Narva Centrum is the third instance of expansion for BIG this year after new representations in ÿlemiste Keskus and Lasnamäe Centrum. In the opinion of Targo Raus, Chairman of the Board of BIG, Ida-Virumaa holds a considerable market potential particularly in the segment of smaller loans. There are many potential clients in Narva who need a smaller loan for example, to finance consumer expenses, a vacation trip or household repairs. As BIG expands into Narva, we are filling a market niche that has so far remained uncovered by universal banks.

BIG forecasts that loans against surety will be the most successful product of the enterprise in Ida-Virumaa. According to Targo Raus, the activities of the enterprise will also receive a boost from the revival of the real estate market in the Ida-Virumaa region, facilitating easier surety of loans.

AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp is the largest specialised lender of money to private persons in the Baltic States after banks and leasing companies. The growth and success of the enterprise has been based on flexible loan products and conditions both for private and business clients.

During the first quarter of this year, AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp earned 5.7 million kroons of net profit. This was the result of the client base increase and growing popularity of smaller loans among the population. The enterprise currently has approximately 4000 clients.
