BIG's six-month profit exceeds 10 million kroons

During the first six months of this year, AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp (BIG) earned 10.4 million kroons of net profit. This result was ensured by the enterprise's successful activities on the market of smaller and consumer-oriented loans.

According to Targo Raus, Chairman of the Board of BIG, the good economic results are based on the company's finding its market niche and focusing on it.

We have been operating on the market of smaller loans for over a decade so we can assess the risks associated with this segment and know the clients' needs well, commented Raus.

According to the Chairman of the Board of BIG, the enterprise will continue focusing on providing services to those clients who are neglected by universal banks and who require smaller loans and consumer loans.

The increased demand for the above named products is confirmed by the growth of BIG's client base, an increase of over 20% compared to the same figure for the first six months of last year. To provide better services for its clients, BIG has already opened three new representations this year, the latest of them in Narva, last week.

During the first six months, BIG issued a total of 86 million kroons in loans 72% more than during the same period last year. The net loan portfolio has increased by 21% from the beginning of this year, reaching 185 million kroons, and the bond portfolio has grown by 16%, now at 80 million kroons.

The amount of enterprise assets has increased by 17.7% from the beginning of this year, reaching 207.2 million kroons.

AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp is the largest specialised lender of money to private persons in the Baltic States after banks and leasing companies. The goal of the enterprise is to provide both private and business clients with fast, attentive and flexible financial services.
