During the first nine months of this year, AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp (BIG) earned 21.4 million kroons of net profit.
According to Targo Raus, Chairman of the Board of BIG, the good economic results are based on the company's successful operations on the market of smaller and consumer loans, as well as on efficient launches of new representations.
"The decision made early this year to expand the sales network has been justified in every manner. For example, in Narva, where the loans market is relatively passive compared to other regions of Estonia, from now on smaller loans can be applied for by such people who previously could not expect to receive a loan," Raus elaborated on the upsides of expanding beyond Tallinn. Targo Raus estimates that the improvement of the range and availability of financing options outside the capital city will raise the quality of life of the local population, as well as the general living standard.
In addition to the representation in Narva, BIG has opened representations at the Norde Centrum in Lasnamäe and ÿlemiste Centre this year.
AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp actively is pursuing the sales network expansion strategy beyond Estonia, too. In September, the Latvian subsidiary company Baltijas Izaugsmes Grupa expanded its presence in Riga and Liepaja to Daugavpils.
During the first nine months, BIG issued a total of 140.6 million kroons in loans, which is approximately 70% more than during the same period last year. The net loan portfolio has increased by 32.3%, reaching 196.1 million kroons, and the issued bond portfolio has grown by 57.7%, now at 109.3 million kroons.
AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp is the largest specialised lender of money to private persons in the Baltic States after banks and leasing companies. The goal of the enterprise is to provide both private and business customers with fast, considerate and flexible financial services.
