Today, on 17 June, AS Balti Investeeringute Grupp (BIG) is opening its agency in the Tsentraal shopping centre in Jõhvi.

The Jõhvi agency is the third BIG agency in Viru County. In 2002 an agency was opened in Rakvere, in 2004 in Narva and now in Jõhvi. At the moment Jõhvi Tsentraal is the largest shopping centre in Jõhvi with a total area of more than 14,000 m2 and ca 70 trade and service companies. Today another extension of the centre is being opened.

"Activities of both the Rakvere and Narva agencies have really been very successful," said Targo Raus, Chairman of the Board of BIG, about opening the new agency. "The loans of Viru County constitute today in total 19% of the loan portfolio, but if we have a look at the client portfolio of BIG, then more than 27% of our clients have used the services of the agencies of Viru County," remarked Raus.

In 2005 BIG is going to continue with the strategy of extending the active sales network that it started in 2004. Last year BIG opened its agencies in Lasnamäe Centrum and ÿlemiste Keskus in Tallinn and in Narva Centrum in Narva, and this year BIG plans in addition to the Viljandi agency opened yesterday and Jõhvi agency being opened today to expand to another two spots in Estonia.
