Balti Investeeringute Grupi Pank AS – unaudited results for the 1st six months of 2006

According to the unaudited and unconsolidated financial results of the Balti Investeeringute Grupi Pank AS (BIG), the company's assets reached 835.7 million kroons as of the end of the 1st six months of 2006.

BIG's assets increased by 298.2 million kroons compared to the end of last year while the liabilities grew by 238.7 million kroons, reaching 646.5 million kroons.

BIG's equity capital increased by 59.6 million kroons during the 1st six months of this year, reaching 189.1 million kroons as of the end of June. BIG's equity capital comprised 23% of BIG's overall assets. Despite the rapid growth of the assets volume, the capitalization of the enterprise remains good.

The sums loaned to BIG's clients grew to 726 million kroons by the end of the 1st six months of 2006. To finance the issued loans, the liabilities had to increase as well - to credit institutions, bond clients and depositors.

Clients responded well to the fixed-term deposits launched in March and as of the end of the 1st six months of this year these deposits reached 69.8 million kroons. The deposits comprised 11% of all liabilities.
