BIG Match Show 2007

On 14 October 2007 starting at 11.00 am BIG will be hosting the BIG Match Show, a charity dog show organised in conjunction with the Estonian Dog Breeders Association, in the Kristiine Sports Hall in Tallinn.

All dogs are invited to take part in the BIG Match Show: both trained pedigree dogs and pooches taking part in such an event for the first time.

You can register in advance for the BIG Match Show HERE. Advance registration will last until 11 October and cost 50 kroons. Registration on site at the BIG Match Show on 14 October will take place at 9.30 am and 10.50 am. Registration on site will cost 75 kroons.

Tickets for adult visitors to the show cost 25 kroons, while children up to the age of 12 and pensioners can watch the dogs for free.

Profit from the event will go to the Võru and Haapsalu animal shelters for improvements to be made to the animals' living conditions.

The BIG Match Show has become an annual charity dog show. The first event of its kind was held in 2005 when BIG organised a charity dog show in cooperation with Eesti Post. Our joint wish then was to turn the public's attention to the plight of stray dogs. With the funds raised from the event the Pärnu dog shelter was able to better organise its premises and build new running areas and kennels for its dogs. The 2006 show was held at Tallinn's Song Festival Grounds. There was considerable interest in the BIG Match Show: it was attended by more than 800 people and a total of 120 dogs took part in the event. Profits from the 2006 show were donated to the Tartu animal shelter for the building of an exercise yard.
