Balti Investeeringute Grupi Pank (BIG Bank) has concluded a cooperation agreement, in accordance with which BIG's services will be available at six largest post offices in the Lääne, Rapla, Saare and Hiiu counties from Monday, October 1st, 2007.

BIG's services will be available at post offices in Kuressaare, Orissaare, Kärdla, Haapsalu, Lihula and Märjamaa. This is a pilot project aimed at becoming closer to clients living in the countryside.

According to Kaido Saar, BIG's Marketing and Sales Manager, cooperation between postal companies and banks is common practice worldwide. "Since 2006 BIG has been engaged in such cooperation in Latvia and the local clients have received this new opportunity with great interest, which goes to prove that there is demand for a service like this primarily in rural areas," said Saar. "Our goal is to become closer to the clients, so they can transact all their daily money-related affairs near their home," added Saar.

Banking services have already been available via the offices of Eesti Post for some time. Since 1997 Eesti Post has been cooperating with SEB Eesti Ühispank and its Postal Bank is available at approximately 150 post offices all over Estonia.

The Balti Investeeringute Grupi Pank AS (BIG) company is one of the largest banks in the Baltic States specialising in loans for private individuals and is the leader in the small loans segment of the Estonian market.
