BIG Increased the Interest Rate for Term Deposits to 5.8 %

Starting from Thursday (25 October 2007), Balti Investeeringute Grupi Pank AS (BIG) increased the interest rates of its term deposits, which now reach up to 5.8% per year).

The interest rates of BIG depend on the duration of the deposit period, deposit amount and method of interest payment. For example the interest rate for a 1-year deposit at BIG rised to 5.65% and for a 3-year deposit to 5.8%.

According to the Financial Manager of BIG, Piret Raudsepp, BIG increased interest rates because it has set an aim to offer its clients term deposits with the highest productivity on the market.

Balti Investeeringute Grupi Pank AS (BIG) is one of the largest banks in the Baltic States specializing in loans for private individuals and is the leader in the small loans segment of the Estonian market. BIG has a total of over 400 employees in the three Baltic States. The company's loan portfolio exceeded 1.6 billion kroons as of the end of the first quarter of this year. BIG's bonds are listed on the Tallinn and Stockholm Stock Exchanges.
