Here at BIGBANK we want to be a partner our clients trust. So to forestall any problems you may have in repaying your loan, we’ve put together this list of pointers which we recommend you take a look at.
-
Make sure you have enough funds in your account to make each repayment on the day it’s due. Bear in mind that you may have to pay bank fees when making a transfer.
-
If you have missed the payment deadline but still wish to transfer the payment, get in touch with Customer Service first and check whether you also have to pay a late payment fee. That way you’ll avoid the amount you transfer being insufficient and you won’t find yourself in the position of owing the bank anything.
-
If you want to repay your loan in full ahead of time, make sure you read the General Terms and Conditions to avoid any misunderstandings. Always make sure that you pay the proper amount at the right time. After paying off your loan, it makes sense to get confirmation from the bank that it’s been repaid in full.
-
If you have any doubts about your ability to meet your repayments, please speak to one of our specialists straight away.
- Make sure we have your latest contact details (i.e. let us know if you move or get a new phone number or change your e-mail address) so that we can get in touch with you as soon as possible if your payment is wrong or late or if there are any other problems.
General principles of the amendment of the terms and conditions of BIGBANK loan contracts
-
BIGBANK loan clients can apply for grace periods. Depending on your needs and the options that are open to you, you can apply for a partial or full grace period:
-
in the case of a partial grace you continue to pay interest during the break, but don’t have to make your repayments, which are then divided up among your remaining repayments;
-
in the case of a full grace you don’t have to pay anything during the break. You pay the intervening interest as part of the first repayment you make after the break, while the main payments are divided up equally among your remaining repayments.
-
-
You need to submit an application in order to be granted a grace period. The fee for arranging a grace period is set out in the BIGBANK price list. You can get more information from our specialists.
-
BIGBANK loans can be extended at any time – either during the repayment period or afterwards.
-
If your grace period comes to an end but you are unable to repay the first amount due thereafter, either in part or in full, you can apply for an extra loan to cover this amount. You should enter into a contract for this extra loan before the original payment falls due. You can get more information about this from our specialists.
-
You can apply for extra loans on all loans issued by BIGBANK. Clients who have previously taken out loans with BIGBANK can also apply for longer repayment periods, depending on the type of the loan.
-
If you’ve made all of your repayments to BIGBANK to date on time, you can apply to extend one repayment date by up to 21 days free of charge. To do this you need to submit an application. You will be informed of the new payment date verbally or, if you submitted the application online, via e-mail. Extending a repayment date by more than 21 days incurs a fee.
-
If you’d like to change all of the repayment dates on your loan, you have to submit an application to this effect. The fee for doing so is set out in the BIGBANK price list.
-
You can repay your loan in full ahead of time whenever you like. You won’t have to pay any future interest, and the bank will be guided by the terms and conditions set out in your contract.
Any applications you’d like to make can be submitted in writing at any branch of BIGBANK or sent by post, fax or e-mail. You can also apply over the phone. All transaction fees are set out in the BIGBANK price list.
