Leigo Lake Music was launched in 1998 as a festival of classical music. Nowadays the audience can hear a range of concerts from the truly classical to hard rock on one and the same day. Leigo’s open air concerts and performances all take place in nature, against the backdrop of the rolling hills of the Otepää ranges. The performers play on an island in the middle of the lake and the thousands of people in the audience sit around the shore. Every concert is like a performance or a film in which the worlds of picture and sound melt into an audio-visual whole – the experience of music and landscape are combined and harmony is sought between fire, water and sound.
BIGBANK has been one of the main sponsors of the events of Leigo Suvi from 2006 to 2008. During those years many good artists and groups have made the Estonian public happy – Villu Veski, Vaiko Eplik, Hedvig Hanson, Liisi Koikson, Jaan Tätte, Jassi Zahharov, Nele-Liis Vaiksoo, Ultima Thule, No Big Silence, Chalice, Tõnis Mägi and many foreign artists.
