BIGBANK AS is a bank specialized in offering term deposits and consumer loans active in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland and offering cross-border services on the German and Austrian markets, which was founded in 1992, in Tartu, Estonia. The company is active on all markets under a single trademark BIGBANK. Today BIGBANK is one of the largest credit providers to private persons in the Baltic states, after full service banks and leasing companies.

BIGBANK offers loans and term deposits in the Baltic states and Finland and only deposits in Germany and Austria.

The mission of BIGBANK is to make fast and flexible loan services easily and conveniently available to both private persons and companies. The vision of the company is to grow into the largest specialised bank offering consumer loans in the Baltic states. As a specialised bank, BIGBANK has resources to attend to every client more comprehensively and to evaluate their possibilities more personally. Therefore BIGBANK is able to be quicker and more flexible than other credit institutions.

BIGBANK has an extensive network of branch offices in the Baltic states, which gives the customers a comfortable possibility of meeting the employees of the bank face-to-face. In Estonia and Latvia the services of BIGBANK are also available through a post bank network at post offices all over the country. Also the bank offers a possibility of using all offered services via electronic channels - the Internet and telephone service - regardless of time and place.

International activity

BIGBANK is fully (100%) based on Estonian capital and its parent company and main office are located in Estonia. The group owns a subsidiary and a branch in Latvia, a branch in Lithuania and Finland and is active as a cross-border service provider in Germany and Austria.

Latvia

The Latvian subsidiary of BIGBANK, SIA Baltijas Izaugsmes Grupa, was established in Riga in 1996. During reorganization of the activity an official branch of the BIGBANK, besides the subsidiary, received an activity license in November 2008.  The main activity of the Latvian branch is similar to the parent company: consumer loans and term deposits are offered to the clients.

Lithuania

Lithuanian branch opened its doors under the name of BIGBANK in September 2007. The main field of activity of the branch are consumer loans directed to private persons, the bank does not offer term deposits in the Lithuanian market at the moment.

Finland

BIGBANK was registered as a branch in Finland on 29 October 2009 and the first service branch was opened in December, the same year. As in the Baltic states, BIGBANK offers term deposits and consumer loans on the Finnish market.

Germany and Austria

In Germany and Austria BIGBANK offers term deposits as a cross border service. A Cross-border service enables a credit institution to provide financial services in a foreign country without a permanent place of business. BIGBANK does not have permanent employees in Germany and Austria.
